EMU CAPP

Calling and Provisioning

Protection for Unified Communications Platforms

Safeguarding Against Configuration and Call Pattern Changes

EMU Calling and Provisioning Protection (CAPP) offers an advanced, context-aware solution for enhancing UCaaS network security and reducing the cost of operations. By providing comprehensive monitoring, contextual detection, and automated preventive actions, EMU CAPP empowers service providers to manage their networks more securely, while reducing the cost of customer mis-configuration. With its customisable business rules, EMU CAPP is an essential tool for mitigating risks and ensuring robust security in dynamic UCaaS environments.

Protection from deliberate fraudulent configuration and calling

Protection from accidental customer or SP mis-configuration

Monitoring for change

EMU CAPP monitors an extensive range of settings across system, service provider, group, and user levels.

With the capability to detect changes in nearly 10,000 settings, EMU CAPP ensures thorough coverage.

It analyses Call Detail Records (CDRs) to identify suspicious call patterns and attributes, ensuring near real-time detection of fraudulent activities

Contextual Understanding

Unlike traditional tools, EMU CAPP excels in understanding the context of changes. For example, it can distinguish between a permissible change by an authorised administrator and a suspicious one by an unauthorised user.

This contextual awareness significantly reduces false positives and enhances the accuracy of security alerts

Reverting the change

EMU CAPP not only flags suspicious activities but also takes immediate preventive actions. It can automatically revert unauthorised changes, disable compromised accounts, and notify relevant stakeholders.

For instance, if an unauthorised administrator is added, EMU CAPP can delete the administrator and send an alert, all within seconds, preventing potential breaches

EMU CAPP comes equipped with an extensive library of predefined reactions that service providers can deploy out-of-the-box. These reactions are designed to address common security scenarios and can be customised to meet specific needs.

Simplicity and Control

EMU CAPP is deployed within the BroadSource Cloud or within the Service Provider’s environment.

Leveraging the BroadWorks Provisioning, Reporting and CDR interfaces, EMU monitors, notifies and reacts to thousands of changes in configuration and call patterns that may lead to toll fraud and operational cost to the Service Provider.
