BroadSource is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Placke as President, Americas, where he will lead the expansion of SecurePII, the company’s cybersecurity technology business. With a proven track record in cybersecurity startups, executive leadership at top-tier security firms, and success in Fortune 500 enterprises, Placke, who is based in Dallas Texas USA, is set to drive SecurePII’s market growth, capital raise, and customer adoption.
At the core of SecurePII’s mission is SecureCall, a breakthrough PCI-compliant solution that offers businesses of all sizes the simplest, most cost-effective way to protect customer data. Recognised at Cisco’s Global Partner Innovation Challenge as a “Top Three Global Innovation”, SecureCall enables customers to enter their credit card details directly into their phone while continuing their conversation with an agent. The system redacts the credit card number in real-time, ensuring that neither merchants nor call center agents ever see or hear the sensitive information. Instead, businesses receive only a confirmation of payment authorisation from their payment gateway provider, drastically reducing compliance burdens and eliminating exposure to sensitive data.
With over 1,000 active users since its soft launch in Q4 2024, SecureCall is rapidly proving its value in a landscape where data privacy laws and regulatory requirements are constantly evolving. The upcoming capital raise will fuel the development of real-time PII redaction technology beyond credit card information, empowering businesses to seamlessly comply with stringent and evolving federal, state and international regulations without ever storing or processing sensitive customer data.
Beyond compliance, SecureCall is poised to play a critical role in enterprise AI integrations by ensuring that sensitive customer data—including credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, and other personally identifiable information (PII)—is automatically redacted in real time before it can be accessed by AI and large language models (LLMs). This innovation will enable organisations to adopt AI-powered automation without exposing private customer data to AI systems.
Bill Placke, President, Americas, SecurePII, commented, “SecureCall is a substantial game-changer in the cybersecurity and payments space. Businesses today face an overwhelming challenge in keeping up with data privacy laws while trying to leverage AI and automation. SecureCall solves this by making PCI compliance effortless and ensuring that AI integrations remain free from sensitive customer data. I’m excited to lead SecurePII in expanding SecureCall’s reach and driving innovation that will redefine secure transactions for businesses of all sizes.”
Placke’s extensive background in cybersecurity, business development, and strategic growth has made him a key leader in launching and scaling innovative cybersecurity solutions. His experience spans global Fortune 500 enterprises, leading cybersecurity firms, and high-growth startups, making him uniquely positioned to drive SecurePII’s rapid expansion.
BroadSource CEO and Co-Founder Haydn Faltyn added, “Bill’s expertise and leadership in cybersecurity, combined with his ability to scale businesses, makes him the perfect choice to lead SecurePII’s growth across the Americas. SecureCall is just the beginning—we’re building a solution that will transform how businesses handle sensitive data in real time in an AI-driven world.”
